A pivotal chapter unfolded in 2021 when Porsche Brunei introduced the electric Taycan, marking a milestone in the nation’s automotive evolution. This bold entry into electromobility underscored Porsche Brunei’s resolve to shape a forward-minded future, a vision furthered in 2025 with the launch of the all-new electric Macan. Complementing each electric model purchase is a complimentary home charger installation—an invitation to embrace luxury with efficiency.
In addition to the introduction of electric vehicle (EV) sports car, Porsche Brunei has laid the groundwork for electric mobility in Brunei by establishing the Porsche Brunei Charging Network. It started with only two AC chargers at Porsche Centre Brunei, which evolved with a fast DC charger in 2023— officiated by CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific Hannes Ruoff and Head of Region Tim Walkowiak.
Following this, Porsche Brunei expanded the Porsche Destination Charging Network with charging stations at After Chukkas Restaurante Asador in Jerudong, Baiduri Bank Berhad’s headquarters in Gadong, and Standard Chartered Bank’s headquarters in Gadong. The latest addition, a Porsche Destination Charging Station, launched at Supa Save Seria in Kuala Belait.
The Porsche Destination Charging Station at Supa Save marks the first charging facility in Kuala Belait broadening the reach and accessibility of the Porsche Brunei Charging Network for Porsche electric model owners. Equipped with two AC chargers and two fast DC chargers, it underscores their commitment to a robust infrastructure. Porsche Brunei plans to continuously expand and refine this network in the years ahead, shaping a stronger EV landscape in Brunei.
