Accredited by the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council under the Ministry of Education, Findlay (B) Sdn Bhd provides a range of services through the entire journey in pursuing higher education overseas.
The agency’s services include reviewing personal statements, assisting with university applications, running pre-departure briefings, making language test arrangements and making housing applications. Findlay also offers consultation to walk students through their needs, goals, visa applications and budget. Using its comprehensive and up-todate research databases, Findlay helps find suitable universities, colleges and programmes for students.
Another long established agency is the HRDS Education Services. As a Bruneian agency established in 1997, HRDS Education Services started by managing several projects to bridge connections between local institutions and overseas partners.
Initially starting with Australian universities, HRDS Education Services grew to cover the United Kingdom (UK), Malaysia and Singapore universities, all of which are now part of their diverse client list of institutions to choose from. The agency works to meet the institution standards and deliver quality counselling to place students into their ideal university. HRDS Education Services offers their service for free for the universities they promote.
In terms of scholarship opportunities, apart from the Brunei Government, students may obtain scholarships from other sources to study abroad. Many Bruneians continue their studies in other countries such as the UK, US and Australia, to name a few.
Awarded by the British High Commission in Brunei Darussalam, the renowned Chevening Scholarship is for individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship offers full financial support for future leaders to study for an eligible Master’s degree at any UK university while also gaining access to a range of exclusive academic, professional and cultural experiences.
The name Management and Science University (MSU) has become synonymous with quality education that is both transformative and enriching. In QS WUR by Subject 2021, MSU emerged first place in Malaysia for Subject’s Art and Design category, at world top 151-200 list. MSU International Medical School Bangalore campus is Malaysia’s first offshore medical school to be granted the full five-year accreditation by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), and MSU’s MBBS programme is recognised by India’s National Medical Commission (NMC), Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) and Maldives Medical and Dental Council (MMDC). The opening of the MSU Medical Centre (MSUMC) has put MSU as the first private university in Malaysia that has its own private specialist hospital.
