complement and further build on
the existing industries in the nation.
The government will also continue
to advocate for mutually beneficial
trading arrangements with its trade
partners, so that our local businesses
will be able to penetrate and expand in
foreign markets, as well as to ease the
imports of the country’s consumption
and intermediate goods. We will
continue to improve the business
ecosystem, and advocate for the
leveraging of technology to improve
efficiency, productivity and the quality
of products and services for both the
government and the private sector.
To support these efforts, participation
from all, especially the youth, is crucial.
The youth’s current active involvement
and engagement throughout the
country is laudable. We have seen an
increasing number of aspiring youth
stepping up and become involved in
a variety of fields such as agriculture,
entrepreneurship,
and
welfare
services. It is hoped that more youth
will take advantage and participate
in the various programmes being
provided by the government agencies
in supporting the development of the
economy in particular, and the nation
as a whole.
While
the
road
ahead
will
undoubtedly face more challenges,
Insya Allah, through a continued
whole-of-government and whole-of-
nation approach, with the support
from both government and private
sector, under the firm leadership
of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal

Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali
