As an applied and enterprise
university focussed on enhancing
graduate employability, 97.5 per
cent of MSU graduates successfully
secure employment within six
months of their graduation according
to the Ministry of Higher Education
Malaysia (MOHE) tracer study. The
ministry also rated MSU as SETARA
Tier-5 Excellent Status for Emerging
University and named it the Most
Entrepreneurial Private University in
Malaysia.
In addition to being a high-ranking
university, MSU has also achieved
a number of firsts. MSU is Asia’s
first to be recognised by ACEEU as
an Entrepreneurial and Engaged
University and is the Most Valuable
Brand Education - Leadership and
Human Capital Management 2021 for
The World Brands Foundation. MSU
is also the first university recognised
outside of Japan by the ABEST21 and
the first to be recognised by the ASIC
as a Global TVET Model University
with Outstanding Leadership in
International TVET Education as well
as Fellowship Award for Leadership.
MSU International Medical School
Bangalore campus is Malaysia’s
first offshore medical school to
receive a full five-year accreditation
by the Malaysian Medical Council
(MMC). The Bachelor of Medicine
and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
programme is recognised by India’s
National Medical Commission (NMC),
Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC)
and Maldives Medical and Dental
Council (MMDC). With the opening of
MSU Medical Centre (MSUMC), MSU
became the first private university
in Malaysia to have its own private
specialist hospital.
