Foreword
There is a saying: if you want to go fast, go
alone; but if you want to go far, go together.
Collaboration enables us to reach greater
depths and broader horizons. This perfectly
captures why youth are the catalysts of
change today, particularly as they make up
35 per cent of our national population.
The younger generationwill not only navigate
modern challenges but also turn them into
opportunities, blending innovation with
tradition and driving progress across various
sectors. As they continue to embrace new
technologies and sustainable practices,
they forge a path towards a brighter, more
dynamicentrepreneurial landscape in Brunei.
Equally important is the role of communities
in nurturing youth potential. Strong family
values, community engagement and
cooperation provide the foundation upon
which young people can thrive. This is where
wemust encouragegreater intergenerational
synergy towards better collaboration and
respectful engagement from all levels of
society regardless of young or old, to foster
mutual learning, enhance innovation and
ensure productive and sustainable outcomes
in workplaces and communities. Together
these elements cultivate a society that is
compassionate, future-ready and resilient
in the face of global change.
With the main theme ‘Celebrating Together’, BBYB Lifestyle
highlights the spirit of unity and strong community bonds,
while also illustrating how communities work collectively to
build the nation towards Wawasan Brunei 2035. Youth, in
particular, play a key role in realising this vision.
