The school features exceptional facilities including 26 science
laboratories, an extensive performing arts centre and music
faculty, art, design and technology studios, libraries and
traditional classrooms, two 50 m x 25 m swimming pools, three
air conditioned sports halls with netball, basketball and tennis
courts, as well as three soccer/rugby pitches. The school has an
onsite medical centre and an award-winning Outdoor Discovery
Centre.
The boarding facilities are designed for practicality, in which
boys and girls enjoy separate houses and are looked after
by boarding houseparents, who are experienced staff and
teachers in the school.
In this prestigious boarding and day school, students learn
each other’s culture and are encouraged to participate in
internationally-accredited curriculums apart from academics.
JIS has a strong co-curricular programme, offering almost 300
activities including a wide range of sports and arts activities,
EcoJIS, house competitions, International Award (DoE)
programme and the Model United Nations club.
