A
sk a few people what financial
wellness means, and you’ll probably
hear a few different answers. For
some, it’s having savings set aside. For others,
it’s less debt, or finally feeling confident
enough to make a decision without second-
guessing it. And for many, it’s not really about
money at all. It’s about peace of mind.
That peace, however, can be hard to come by.
Between rising costs, endless advice online,
and big life decisions like buying a home,
planning for children or thinking about
retirement, managing money today can feel
overwhelming. Not because people don’t
care, but because they’re not always sure
where to begin.
Empowering your journey to
financial wellness
STARTINGWHERE YOUARE
That uncertainty is something Baiduri Bank
Group has been paying close attention to.
Rather than focusing on numbers alone,
the Group’s approach to financial wellness
starts with people — their habits, their
questions, and the different stages of life
they’re navigating. The belief is simple:
financial literacy shouldn’t feel intimidatingor
exclusive. It should feel accessible, practical,
and relevant to everyday life.
That thinking is at the heart of the Financial
Wellness Centre (FWC), launched in
September last year, at Baiduri Bank
Headquarters. Designed as a dedicated
space for guidance and conversation, the
Centre offers a place where individuals can
pause, reflect, and take their first or next step
towards clearer financial direction.
Visitors often begin with interactive tools like
the Money Personality Quiz or Investment
Personality Quiz. These short, easy exercises
help people understand how they naturally
approach saving, spending, and investing.
There’s no pressureor judgement, just insight.
Often, that self-awareness alone is enough to
spark more confident conversations.
From there, thosewhowant deeper guidance
can sit down with licensed financial planners
for one-on-one consultations, turning insight
into practical, goal-based plans. Whether
someone is starting their career, building a
family, planning for retirement or thinking
about legacy, the experience is designed to
meet them where they are.
“Financial wellness is not about having
perfect finances, but about understanding
your options and making decisions that work
for your circumstances. This is an approach
we aim to support by making that process
clearer and more accessible,” said Lim Kian
Chiong, Head of Retail Banking at Baiduri
Bank.
Importantly, the Centre is open to the public,
not just Baiduri Bank customers. This reflects
the Group’s broader commitment to inclusion
