“The growing complexity and diversity of critical

data centre environments coupled with reduced

budget and staff have led to a management

challenge for data centre professionals. The first

step in overcoming this challenge is through a

cloud-first management strategy. EcoStruxure IT

provides global access and insights to data centre

environments from anywhere, at any time on any

device,” said Schneider Electric Executive Vice

President, IT Division, Dave Johnson. “Bringing

this level of visibility and access to our customers

will enable them to benchmark their entire

IT ecosystem while providing trend analysis,

intelligent maintenance and more, all the while

reducing risks and increasing efficiency.”

To date, 1,400 customers are connected on

EcoStruxure IT platform, managing 140,000

assets. Every day, 300 million data points are

captured, and EcoStruxure IT modernises how

customer data centres are managed, operated,

and maintained.

Supporting Technopreneurs and

Innovators

To support the innovative and creative industry,

the Innovative, Technology and Creative Industry

Division (ITCID) was established in December

2015. They advocate the development of high

technology and knowledge-based industries in

Brunei through foreign direct investment and

innovation from local businesses.

The government has set up an incubation centre

called iCentre to assist budding technopreneurs

and product innovators. The iCentre provides

working space, capacity building programmes

and startup assistants. In addition, the iCentre

collaborates with local and regional agencies to

provide workshops on starting a business, market

validations, and fundraising.
