an exposure to the oil and gas industry.
Supporting Academic Curriculum
To enhance students’ learning practices and
support the development of their academic
curriculum, Schlumberger donated a petroleum
engineering software to Universiti Teknologi
Brunei, Universiti Brunei Darussalam and
Politeknik Brunei. In September 2018, an
educational visit was held by Schlumberger in
Schlumberger
Seria with 27 students and one lecturer from
Politeknik Brunei. Students observed with
great interest how Schlumberger engineers
were trained and had the opportunity to see
equipment and facilities used in the oil and gas
industry.
Schlumberger believes that empowering the
educational advancement of school children and
women makes for powerful contribution to the
local economies.

Excellence
in
Education
Development (SEED) is the company’s
educational programme founded in 1998,
focussing on communities where Schlumberger
